HEATHEN TOM
Heathen Tom is a ukuklele-strumming songwriter in Grand Rapids, MI.
Tom (they/them) has always loved music, starting in church and school. As a kid, they tried out different instruments like the piano, guitar, harmonica, and drums. In middle school, they joined the percussion section which sparked a love of rhythm. In high school, Tom played in the marching band on the drumline and also used different percussion instruments like the marimba, timpani, snare, bells, cymbals, and even the triangle during concert season. Later, in college, Tom took a semester of guitar lessons and enjoyed singing harmonies with their musician friends.
Over the years Tom watched and cheered on many musician friends and artists who empowered and inspired them.
